Los Angeles Lakers Greatest Moments: Robert Horry's shot saves the Lakers.

Selecting the greatest moments of the Lakers history is not an easy task, because it is full of great moments, situations and facts that were significant. Sometimes so significant that they changed the way the game was played.
Take a look at some of the greatest moments for the Lakers, the NBA and the basketball game...

Horry's shot saves season

Robert Horry has a career full of bright moments: he is a member of 6 NBA championship teams, including 3 with the Lakers; playing for Houston he matched the NBA Finals record with five 3-pointers in a quarter; playing for the Spurs he won the 5th game of the 2005 Finals with a 3-pointer. But we still think this is the most spectacular of his plays.

It looked more like a Hollywood film, you know that kind of films where the hero makes his shot in the last second to win the game.

The Lakers were down 2-1 in the 2002 Western Conference Finals against the Sacramento Kings...
game 4 was played at the Staples Center and the Kings were up two points with two seconds remaining...
Kobe had just missed his attempt, and the same did Shaq...
Vlade Divac knocked the ball as far away from the hoop as he could...
the Kings were sure they were 3-1 and ready to get their first championship...
but the ball went right into Robert Horry's hands...
he took his shot behind the three-point line...
with the ball flying the buzzer sounded...
the ball went in...
Lakers 100 Kings 99...

The rest is history, the Lakers went on to win the series and their third consecutive NBA title and Horry enhance his reputation as one of the game's top clutch players.
